Sterling Staggs Park is a 5 acre park located in downtown Independence and is managed by the City of Independence. Sterling Staggs is named after former Fire Chief Sterling Staggs.

Sterling Staggs Park does not have a dog run. Please clean up after your pet if you bring them to the park.

There are many activities available in Sterling Staggs Park. The park is home to two (2) full-sized baseball field (permits required), 2 basketball courts, 1 sand volleyball, 2 shelters, playground, and a soccer field. The shelters do have restrooms and water fountains available for use (seasonally).

Sterling Staggs Park is located at 5105 Madison Pike. It is directly across from the United States Post Office in downtown Independence. Off street parking is limited but available for this park.
